Chelsea Heywood

Marketing and Communications Manager

As Marketing and Communications Manager, Chelsea is responsible for leading all strategic marketing and communications planning, promoting key events and activities, and developing our in-person and online community.

Chelsea grew up in Kaukapakapa, Auckland, and lives and works in Colombia as the Founder of Cleverset Digital Marketing. She also spent time in Chile, Peru and Bolivia.

Previously, Chelsea was the head of Marketing for Biz Latin Hub, an international law firm operating across 17 countries in Latin America and Australasia. She also worked in international defence policy at the New Zealand Ministry of Defence, and communications at the Ministry of Justice, and served as a reservist in the New Zealand Army. She graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics.

Chelsea is passionate about Latin dance. In 2015, she performed at the New Zealand Salsa Congress. Before leaving New Zealand, she taught several styles of Afro-Latin dance in Wellington.
