Community Engagement Lead
Babitha joins the LANZBC Young Professionals Network as our Community Engagement Lead to empower young professionals to deepen their ties with Latin America. She is an advocate for social change who aspires to work in partnership with minority groups to collaboratively work towards a more egalitarian society.
She is currently working as a Policy and Regulatory Consultant and is based in Wellington. In this role, she aims to create meaningful change by working with the public sector and supporting wider stakeholder consultation and engagement. Her other roles include being a Youth Councillor for the U.S. Embassy and a leadership member for the Institute of Public Administration New Zealand New Professionals Group.
Babitha completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Population Health, Economics and International Business. She was granted the Prime Ministers Scholarship for Latin America to complete a Global Business course at Tecnológico de Monterrey, in which she studied at four different Mexico campuses. She also received a scholarship from Latin America Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence to attend the Australian and New Zealand Studies Association of North America conference held at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico.
Babitha strongly believes in the importance of empowering the next-gen of leaders to engage with Latin America and is interesting in exploring ways the YPN can support the Latin American community.FOLLOW ME ON LINKEDIN Back
